Interesting article. It includes all sin taxes -- cigarettes, booze, pot ... and the pole! [view link]

"In Nevada, the State Senate has discussed expanding, and taxing, legalized prostitution." The bordellos have been asking for this. Perhaps some states might consider legalized prostitution when they see how Nevada's coffers suddenly run over.

porn? Google makes a tidy penny from porn ads so maybe they could be subject to the sin tax. Also I have heard about bullshit taxes on fast food and soft drinks. I think one town in california wanted to shut down and ban all the fast food places despite several of them offering healthy alternatives to their burger and fries.

Tax prostitution? Why not. Now the "rich states" will be the ones with the legalized whore houses. Good solution for the rust belt states that have lost so much industry over the years. Old steel mills filled with people fucking, LOL. You can't suppress sexual desire. So get it out in the open. Legalize it and make it as safe as possible. And tax it too. It's recession proof.

I surprised NV isn't already taxing the revenue gained from legalized prostitution. It's because they have no state income tax (the prostitution businesses don't pay any state taxes...not even the state entertainment tax!)...the dummies...and both brothel owners & the prostitutes themselves have been advocating for them to be taxed since at least 2005!
