Stayed at Hotel Caesar several times now. (Chosen because I like TLNs with HK girls and the HK/Cascadas management wants a $300 bar fine for them to spend the night.) Rooms are comfortable and clean. The street side is a little noisy; won't choose a street side room again. Staff was nice, but little English skills. NP as I have been practicing my Spanish and could at least convey that I had a reservation. Booked the hotel through their web site once and booked through [view link] twice. You pay on arrival. Of note, there is no elevator.
Don't know if this sign is recent or I simply had not noticed it in the past. The English reads:
"Room with 1 bed: Only 2 persons inside the room the one who made the register and his companion.
You can not change companion"
(The grammatical errors are theirs.)
They had similar notices for rooms with two beds. Walked in with a chica. I was not challenged in any way. She was the only chica I took to the room and she spent the entire night, so I didn't challenge the multiple "companions" restriction.
Stayed in Ticuan Friday night (8/5/22) for the first time. Booked through [view link]. Pricy, but impressive. Interior room. Very spacious. No flaws, mold, exposed caulking, or other small flaws that I often see in other hotels. Staff was nice. Room was prepaid through [view link]. I was able to check in at 1:30. They asked for my driving license specifically. Probably because it has my home address on it; the passport does not. When checking out, I saw someone doing touch-up painting in the hallway. Several maids on the floor. Checked out just before 12:00. Fast and easy.
The important issue was that about 11:00 pm I walked in with a HK chica who was clearly more than half my age. There was staff at the front desk close to the elevator. (The elevator inside the front doors was blocked off and there was a security person at the front door.) The staff barely looked at me. The few waiting clients clearly did notice us.
I was told that the hotel is chica-friendly, but I was concerned. Made sure that she brought her ID in case she was asked for it or I had to put her on the registry.
Booked it because Hotel Caesar's was booked full. Almost three times the price of Hotel Caesar's, so it will stand as an excellent backup. The chica was very impressed. Hope she doesn't expect this level during every visit.
