Hometown clubs versus traveling to new clubs

What are your thoughts? I like that I know pretty much what to expect at my local clubs, but there is so much more of a thrill going to one I’ve never been…. What do you all like more, pros vs cons general discussion?

Becoming a known regular at a local club can certainly be an advantage. When you are a known quantity it makes it easier to get attention from the top tier dancers and can also lead to better mileage from dancers who trust you and bouncers tend to not keep as close of a watch on known customers. Unfortunately, I live in Cincinnati which is a terrible region for strip clubs so I do all of my clubbing in the other cities I get to on a semi-regular basis for work. This does have its own advantage of giving a wider variety of dancers since there is so much turn over between each of my visits to a particular club. While the variety is nice I am the type that prefers to have at least one regular that I know will be a good time. That is hard to do now that I am only in each city every 3-4 months. It was a lot nicer when I had 3 cities where I traveled to for work and visited each of them every 3 weeks for a couple of days at a time.

I would assume this mostly depends on one’s “default preference” per se – many SCers like finding a good dancer(s) and sticking w/ her in order to get a-more-consistent-experience – other SCers prefer to experience something-new (new dancers) everytime they hit a club – seems most regular-SCers prefer the former; whereas I prefer the latter. Having access to a resource like TUSCL means one can make use of both.

Certainly, going to a local club as a regular has its advantages (know which girls you like / meet your dance style, money may go farther). On the other hand, I've found myself getting bored at home club, especially if there is not a steady inflow of new talent that matches my preferences). Even having a solid regular dancer sometimes gets old, even if she's a CF/ATF.

Just be careful at a new club with spending. Don't spend at your normal pace until you are comfortable you will get the value you want.

I'm lazy, I never travel just to club. There are enough decent-to-good places in my neck of the woods (eastern New England), and when they go dry, I'm usually bored of clubbing anyways and give them some time to replenish. When my work took me on the road more, I tried to check out a new club on each trip.

There's room for both. I enjoy my local clubs probably more than traveling, but I can have a good time just hanging out, watching a stage show and getting some dances at a club while I'm traveling. I don't travel for the explicit purpose of hitting a club though, there's not that many areas that have better clubs so there's not a lot of point in that.

I prefer to club away from home, but I don't travel as much now. Plus when I do travel I'm too busy to write timely reviews anymore. If the choice is writing reviews or hooking up with hot chicks, you can look at my review drop off and know what I chose lol.

Ideally, there’s a local club with several favorite dancers. You have variety without having to constantly hunt for someone who meets your needs. Unfortunately, it’s been a few years since I had that. Too much turnover among dancers and a lack of suitable new candidates.

"Ideally, there’s a local club with several favorite dancers." I used to think that, too. It only works if they're all making money. I try to have 2 or 3 clubs I'm cool with and a top girl at each one. Pre-COVID that was easy. Post-COVID the girls are still bouncing around too much.

If you're steady money for her, she's more motivated to give you a dance that you still think was great the next morning. So, that means hometown clubs, or clubs in places you travel too many times a year.

I think that each person will answer this based in large part on how their local club scenes are. When I first joined this site I much preferred road clubbing to local. But keep in mind that my local stomping ground back then was NYC, where the clubs are almost universally expensive and high hustle. I'd fly to small southern cities like Greenville (SC) or Mobile (AL) or even Forth Worth and never ceased to be amazed at how much cheaper and more fun the clubs were. This definitely included OTC, which I could get for half or less of what I had to pay in NYC. It was like flying to a cheaper foreign country, except these girls were red blooded all Americans! But now that my home town is Jacksonville, the script has flipped. I'm well wired into my local club scene and have a solid OTC rotation. Now granted Jacksonville has been booming over the past 10 years and is no longer a sleepy little city with flyover country pricing, but it still beats the fuck out of places like NYC, L.A. and even Dallas. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy travel clubbing. But unless a great opportunity drops in my lap I'm more inclined to take it easy and keep my powder dry for my return home.

Yeah I like to hit the road personally. Things don’t get stale that way, everything and everybody is always new.

If there are decent clubs near you being a regular is best. However if you’re in a dead area it’s best to go somewhere else. I’d say if the clubs are close stay home but unfortunately most areas have crappy clubs.

I would say the clubs in my area are not great if you want to see hot naked girls getting fully naked, but you can get pretty high mileage and have a lot of fun in the back if you play your cards right. But not that great if you want ITC extras also I’m in fort Myers

Following the general theme of "it depends how you club" I like to find an ATF and stick with her, meanwhile wiring up the club so that I get more leeway from management on touching, etc. This is best accomplished in the local scene. I can see the same girls over and over (though with the stripper turnover rate, there's always new girls too), I can get in with the bouncers, managers, and bartender. Basically I can pull together exactly the experience I want. Out of town clubs are a one and done. If I spent $500, that's an investment that will pay no forward dividends for me. Spend that at my local club? The manager and girls recognize the spending that much more, each time I go is a step closer to what I'm looking for: never paying the cover charge, always sitting in the reserved booths, no bouncers patrolling during my VIP dances, lots of YMMV with a grateful ATF who I'll be seeing OTC soon

People usually either fall into the categories of those who like new experiences versus those who like the familiar. I prefer the familiar. Whatever desire for variety I have is satisfied by rotating around several strip clubs in Indianapolis plus an occasional trip elsewhere in Indiana. I did go to Las Vegas once to visit the strip clubs there and enjoyed it but don't feel a need to go back. I once did online dating at [view link] for a year. I noticed women there were predominantly of the type that were always on the move. They were always changing jobs, where they live, and who they were in a relationship with. Many strippers are like that too. They are always hopping from one strip club to another, changing boyfriends or changing where they live. Many women seem dissatisfied with their lives these days, possibly because they have unrealistic expectations. This dissatisfaction leads to making constant changes in their lives.

Like some others, if I didn't have it so good here, I might be inclined differently, but even when I *do* travel, strip clubs are not the reason for the travel I might stop at one or two while on the road, but they aren't why I'm on the road.

I'm ways happy to travel to a club I've previously been to or one that's featuring a pornstar. Otherwise not losing time, cost of flight and hotels for word of mouth reports.
