Fire Behind Chicago Club. Hong Kong Raided and Closed

Wow, I was just there a couple of weeks ago with Greanbeans. Unbelievable

Hong Kong raided and closed. Raided and closed. WTF?

Did somebody forget to pay the bribe this month or something?

Well that’s not good.

The “actual danger” to ordinary foreigners (Americans, Chinese, Ukrainians etc) in Tijuana Zona Norte is statistically insignificant. The rival cartel members shoot each other and the police, like the warring Mafias in America--and all those groups that have some power because they carry arms, are morally indistinguishable. So the average citizen or tourist has little to worry about; as long as they are not looking for trouble, and mind their own business.

UPDATE: Saw HK's Instagram page late last night, and it said it had reopened. No word yet on the status of Chicago Club.

I heard Chicago club was open again. evidently no fire damage to speak of to the Chicago club itself. the fire was primarily to the roof of the hotel jalos above Chicago bar.
